Chris Watts is a young singer-songwriter from Melbourne Australia, taking inspiration from Harry Styles, Shawn Mendes and Adam Levine. Watts’ debut single ‘ Let Go ‘ gained him viral attention on Spotify, hitting over 1.7 million streams independently and reaching a height of #16 on the Spotify Global Viral Charts . Following this, Chris teamed up with Amy Sheppard from the Aria award winning band Sheppard for a feature track ‘Wrong or Right’ that led to increased Australian commercial radio and television exposure.
In 2017, Chris Watts supported Sir Elton John on the Melbourne-leg of his Australian tour. Elton John had wonderful praise for the young musician, commenting that he was well aware of Watts and that he performed a “great set”. Watts told The Daily Telegraph / Sydney Confidential that it was such a “thrill” to receive praise from the icon and to have Elton as a fan.
Watts’ momentum continued to snowball from there, kicking off 2018 by supporting Scott Helman (Warner Music) on his Australian tour and the legendary Robbie Williams ‘ on his Day on the Green performance in March. It’s still very early in Watts’ career, but he has shown to be one of Australia’s most promising young pop stars, with the support of pop giants behind him, it won’t be long before Chris Watts is one himself.
